Pattern Roundup – Top 10 Christmas Crochet Free Patterns

Looking to crochet up some of that Christmas spirit?  Here are ten of my favorite free Christmas crochet patterns from around the web.  I’m including affiliate links to some of the materials you need for the patterns.  Purchasing through these links helps support the free content on our blog.

Sugar Plum Dreams Elf Hat

This adorable little elf hat for newborn babies is absolutely dreamy.  I’m a huge fan of the knit look and I love the soft, gentle colors of the Kai Mint Chip yarn.

Crochet Snowman Sack

Who wouldn’t love to get a gift in this sweet little snowman sack?  The wrapping is a gift in itself!  The pattern calls for chunky white yarn, and I think it would be adorable using the fluffy Bernat Blanket Big Ball Yarn – Vintage White, which I used for my Teacher Christmas Stocking.  You’ll also need Favorite Findings 2.5oz Value Pack Of Snowflake Buttons.

Snowman Amigurumi

These might be the cutest crochet snowmen I’ve ever seen!  You’ll need some white yarn, orange yarn, safety eyes, and  brown pipe cleaners.

Candy Cottage Gingerbread House

This one is so beautiful it blows my mind.  A lot of time and thought was clearly put into this pattern to make it special.  In addition to yarn, you’ll need chipboard or cereal boxes, a hot glue gun, utility knife, a ruler, and a pencil.

When I looked for the recommended yarn, I could not find the right colors so they may not be available.  I would use: Lion Brand Feels Like Butta in Brown, Dusty Pink, Pink, and White (pictures link to yarn on Amazon).

Crochet Christmas Baby Sweater

If you’ve got a little one, this lovely little Christmas sweater is just the thing for the holidays.  You’ll need Caron Simply Soft Harvest Red Yarn, and Lion Brand Go for Faux in Baked Alaska.

Elf Slippers

I think all parents need a pair of these to wear during the holidays.  We’re all so busy being Santa’s little helpers.  🙂  These look super-cozy and cute for tiptoeing around late at night while preparing Christmas secrets.

Crochet Christmas Tree

I may have a soft spot in my heart for crochet Christmas trees, since the lady who taught me to crochet when I was a child always had a full-sized crocheted Christmas tree (flat though it was) that hung on her wall.  Here is an adorable little 3D Christmas tree.  I love the way the softer colors and simple decorations keep it from looking tacky or garish.

Holiday Deer

What a pretty little amigurumi.  This would be a really special gift for a child in your life.

Crochet Star Ornaments

This pattern is simple but gorgeous.  Great for beginners or pros.  This is exactly the kind of thing that would be perfect for Kaelyn, as she’s just learning to follow along with patterns.

Easy Granny Crochet Christmas Baubles

So bright and pretty and full of charm.  I love these Christmas baubles!
